Jorg van Nieuwenhuijzen is the Founder & Managing Director of FANCAP. He is a former professional goalkeeper from the Netherlands who played professional football for 15 years. After his playing career, Jorg transitioned into sports entrepreneurship in 2013 following his relocation to Toronto, Canada, where he built football academies, developed transatlantic partnerships, and worked closely with MLS clubs, family offices, and leading sports agencies.

Through working alongside family offices, private equity firms, legal advisors, and fund administrators, Jorg has developed expertise in private equity-style structuring. He has been directly involved in the design and execution of SPVs, GP/LP models, co-investment vehicles, and partnership frameworks across professional football and sports-anchored infrastructure.

At FANCAP, Jorg leads the firm’s strategic vision and the design of innovative investment and partnership models that align sporting performance with long-term capital. Known for his ability to connect people, align interests, and build trusted partnerships, he plays a central role in driving FANCAP’s growth, deal execution, and international collaborations.​​​​​
