Technical Due Diligence

John de Jong is a former Dutch professional footballer whose playing career included ADO Den Haag, FC Utrecht, SC Heerenveen, and PSV Eindhoven, where he played until his retirement in 2008 due to injury.

Following his playing career, John transitioned into football management at PSV Eindhoven, progressing from scouting roles to Director of Scouting and ultimately Technical Director in 2018. Over five seasons as Technical Director, he led PSV’s sporting strategy, oversaw significant player acquisitions and sales, and further professionalized the club’s youth development and talent identification structures. Across more than a decade in senior football management, he built a deep and trusted network across clubs, agents, and football institutions worldwide.

John currently applies this experience at Sports Entertainment Group (SEG), one of the world’s leading football agencies. In parallel, he leads FANCAP’s technical M&A activities, supporting club investments with market intelligence, talent strategy, and football-operational due diligence. His combination of elite-level technical leadership, deep market knowledge, and longstanding global relationships makes him a key contributor to FANCAP’s global football strategy and deal execution.
