Technical Due Diligence

John de Jong is a former Dutch professional footballer whose career included spells at ADO Den Haag, FC Utrecht, SC Heerenveen, and PSV Eindhoven, where he played until his retirement in 2008 due to injury. Soon after, he transitioned into technical roles at PSV, starting as a scout before becoming Director of Scouting and, in 2018, Technical Director. In this role, he led the club’s sporting strategy for five years, oversaw high-profile player acquisitions, and strengthened PSV’s youth development pathways. Over more than a decade in football management, John built an extensive network in global football, working closely with clubs, agents, and football associations. Today, he applies this experience at Sports Entertainment Group (SEG), one of the world’s leading football agencies, and leads FANCAP's M&A activities on the technical side. John's deep market knowledge, proven track record in talent identification, and trusted relationships in the global game make him a valuable asset in driving FANCAP’s global football strategy and deal execution.
