Jeroen Slop is a seasoned financial executive with over 25 years of experience in football finance, serving as CFO of Ajax Amsterdam and currently as a Supervisory Board member at the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB).
A graduate of the University of Amsterdam with degrees in Economics and Accountancy, Jeroen began his career at Ernst & Young before holding senior finance roles in the oil industry across Amsterdam, Singapore, and Hamburg.
At Ajax, Jeroen served as CFO from 1998 to 2019, playing a central role in the club’s stock market listing, overseeing Financial Fair Play compliance with UEFA, and managing key operational areas including match-day operations, security, and supporter relations. During his tenure, he established one of Europe’s most stable football finance models, combining sustainable growth with strategic investment in sporting success.
Since 2019, Jeroen has leveraged his extensive expertise in football and finance as a Supervisory Board member at the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB), where he oversees financial governance and operational standards across all professional Dutch clubs, ensuring compliance, stability, and sustainable growth throughout the league system. His deep experience in club finance, regulatory compliance, and strategic operations makes him a trusted advisor and key contributor to FANCAP’s investment and club advisory activities.
